This Spring, a new student body president was elected. Today, a summer later, we sat down with her over some scones and tea to get to now the woman with the loud voice wandering around the corridors. We don’t only wanted to get to know her personally, but also her role as the new president. Ladies and Gentlemen, we present Tara Curovic.
Firstly, tell us one surprising fact about yourself?
“I’ve broken my nose twice” (she fell into a wall. Both times.)
If not yourself, who would you be?
“Batman, no doubt. Imagine being a super rich executive owning a shit load of fun gadgets to play around with at night. Pussy magnet.”
What would you do if you just inherited a pizzeria from your uncle?
“I would easily have pizza night every Friday, and make some bizniz. CREAM.”
If aliens landed in front of you and offered you any position on their planet, what would you want?
“Who would turn down a dictatorship? YOLO.”
Describe yourself in three words.
“Outgoing, stubborn and LOUD.”
Why were you chosen as student body president?
“I guess I was the most suitable candidate at the time, considering I was the only third-grader-to-be and had the most experience.”
How does the year look for the student body?
“This year seems to be a very active one considering that we are working a lot together with other students bodies in Malmö.”
What is different this year?
“The new student council is very determined on supplying the school with a lot of fun activities, we recently started two projects; a new discount card, and a new line of school clothing.”
Why should you join the student body?
“If you want you high school time to be fun at all, I suggest you to do so. Many people may not think of that, but all school activities are arranged by the student body. The student body is also head of all the committees, for example the party committee and the music committee.”
How does the student body council at Bladins differ from the others?
“I guess the size would be the biggest difference. Other schools in Malmö might have quite large student bodies with several hundred members. We, however, are not as many in numbers, but were awarded for the largest percentage of the school being members last year, and are looking forward to another successful year. Also, the whole student body and our activities are more coherent – creating greater school spirit.
